The terms governing your use of Luumo as a parent or guardian account holder.
Last updated: August 19, 2026
By creating a Luumo parent account, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use Luumo.
Luumo accounts must be created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. Children do not create their own accounts — a child profile can only be added by a verified parent account, and every session your child has with Luumo happens under your account and your configured guardrails.
Before adding a child profile, we require a small identity-verification charge to confirm you are an adult with a valid payment method. You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child profile you create, and that you consent to Luumo collecting and processing your child's data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Luumo is an AI-powered Socratic tutoring tool designed to build reasoning, curiosity, and conceptual understanding through guided questioning. It is a supplementary learning aid, not a substitute for formal schooling, professional tutoring, or — in matters of a child's emotional or physical wellbeing — professional medical, psychological, or counseling care. If your child discloses something that concerns you, please follow up directly; do not rely on Luumo as a crisis or safety resource.
You agree not to, and not to permit your child to, use Luumo to:
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that we reasonably believe poses a safety risk to a child.
You and your child retain ownership of the messages your child sends. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the tutoring conversation, run safety moderation, and — only if you've opted in — generate the insight reports described in our Privacy Policy.
Luumo's replies are generated by large language models and are designed to ask guiding questions rather than assert facts. Like any AI system, Luumo can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or phrase something in an unexpected way. Please review your child's sessions periodically and use your judgment — Luumo is a thinking partner for your child, not an unimpeachable source of truth.
You may delete your child's profile or your parent account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
Luumo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Luumo Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory local law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify parent accounts by email.
